By submitting an entry to the sweepstakes/giveaway/contest (the ”contest”), you acknowledge that you have read and agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of Plant Based Recipes: Easy Oil Free Vegan Recipes, and that you satisfy all eligibility requirements.

These terms and conditions apply for the contest entered at PlantBasedRecipe.com. By participating, By participating, you (”entrant”) agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor and Administrator. Entrants participating in this contest/sweepstakes agree to the following contest rules. The contest is subject to applicable regional and national laws in the US and Canada. Void where prohibited by law.

Contest period

This contest is sponsored by RiseShineCook.ca (”sponsor”) and is administered by PlantBasedRecipe.com (”administrator”). This contest begins on December 9, 2020 at 9:30 PST and ends on December 20, 2020 at 12:00 PST (”contest period”).

Eligibility

Contest is open to legal residents of Canada (excluding Quebec) and the USA who have reached the age of majority in their respective province or territory of residence at the time of entry. One entry per person, per platform. In other words, a person can enter once on PlantBasedRecipe.com, and once on Instagram for a total of two chances to win.

Void where prohibited by law.

Employees or contractors of the Sponsor and Administrator, immediate family members of the sponsor and administrator, and any persons domiciled with any such employees or contractors, are not eligible to enter.

How to Enter

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. You only need an email address to enter.

To participate in this Contest entrants must:

Follow all onscreen instructions to complete and submit the online entry form (”Primary Entry”).

You can earn an Additional Entry in the Contest when you send the Contest page to a friend, age 21 or older, by following the Additional Entry instructions on the screen (”Additional Entry”). The friend must enter the Contest through your referral in order to get an additional entry. All entries must be received by December 20, 11:00AM AKDT (”Contest Entry Period”).

Online entrants subject to all notices posted online including but not limited to administrator’s privacy policy.

Entrants might receive further communication from administrator to confirm entry. Opt out is available at any time, and does not affect contest entry.

Winner selection

On December 20 2020, in British Columbia Canada at approximately 13:00 PST, one (1) winner will be randomly selected by random draw from eligible entries received during the Contest Period by a representative from the Administrator whose decisions are final using the KingSumo Wordpress plugin. The odds of winning will depend on the number of entries received.

The winning entrant will be subject to verification for eligibility. The winner will be sent an email and will have forty-eight hours to respond. If no response is received within forty-eight hours the entry is deemed void and another winner will be chosen randomly using the KingSumo plugin.

The winning entry will be displayed on the giveaway widget on the original contest post.

Prize and prize fulfillment

Maximum ARV of all prizes: $24.99. Prize includes: The Plant-Based Cookbook. If winner is unable to receive the prize then prize will be forfeited, and an alternate winner may be selected in accordance with these Official Rules from among the remaining eligible entries for that prize. Prizes may not be transferred or assigned except by Administrator or Sponsor.

The sponsor is responsible for prize fulfillment. Prizes will be fulfilled when this book starts shipping in early 2021 and the prizes (books) are received by the sponsor. Sponsor anticipates that the prize will be sent to the winner in January or early February 2021.

The administrator is not responsible for prize fulfillment nor for any technical failures.

Prizes must be accepted as awarded. Prizes are not transferable, negotiable, and cannot be converted to cash. Sponsor and administrator reserve the right to substitute a prize with one of equal or greater value. Prizes will only be awarded to the person who is declared as the winner.

Winners will be notified by email and/or mail and at the judges’ discretion, will be required to complete and return an email confirmation of prize acceptance and possibly a Affidavit of Eligibility and Liability and a Publicity Release (“Affidavit/Release”) within 48 hours of notification, or an alternate winner will be selected. Prize awarded within 30 days after receipt and verification of completed Affidavit/Release or prize notification.

If a potential winner cannot be contacted, or if Affidavit/Release is returned as undeliverable or if the selected winner cannot accept or receive the prize for any reason, or he/she is not in compliance with these Official Rules, the prize will be forfeited and may be awarded to an alternate winner.

If a winner is otherwise eligible under these Official Rules, but is nevertheless deemed a minor in his or her state of primary residence, the prize will be awarded in the name of winner’s parent or legal guardian who will be required to execute affidavit on minor’s behalf. No substitutions are permitted except if prize is unavailable, in which case a prize of equal or greater value will be awarded. Prize is not redeemable for cash and non-assignable and non-transferable except to a surviving spouse. Winner is responsible for all federal, state, local sales and income taxes. Any other incidental expenses on prize not specified herein are the sole responsibility of winner. Entry and acceptance of prize constitute permission to use winner’s name, prize won, hometown and likeness for online posting and promotional purposes without further compensation, except where prohibited by law.

Limit: one prize per household. Prize is guaranteed to be awarded. Cash value of the prize cannot be redeemed.

General rules

The decisions of the administrator with respect to all aspects of this Contest are final and binding on all entrants and do not include any right of appeal.

All entries are subject to verification for any reason. The administrator and sponsor reserve the right to require proof of eligibility in a manner that is appropriate to the sponsor or administrator. This can include proof of identity or address for the purpose of verifying eligibility to participate, legitimacy of the entry, or any other reason deemed necessary for the purposes of the contest. If proof is not provided within the stated time, the entry may be deemed void at the discretion of the administrator or sponsor.

The administrator is not liable for any website or account failure during this contest, which includes any technical malfunctions or problems that result in the failure of an entry to be received. The administrator is not liable for any damages or injuries related in any manner to participating in this contest.

If any attempts to use illicit means to enter the contest will result in disqualification. Illicit entries include creating multiple email or social media accounts to enter the contest.

Any entries that do not satisfy the entry requirements are considered void.

The administrator retains the right to change, cancel, or suspend this contest at any time and does not require any notice to do so. The administrator may cancel, change, or suspend the contest due to a technical problem, technical error, tampering, or any other reasonable issue that interferes with the proper execution of this contest in light of the terms and conditions supplied here.

The authorized account holder of the entrant (either email or Instagram account) is considered to be the submitter of the entry. If the entrant is disputed, the person deemed to be the authorized account holder is considered to be the contest entrant. In the event of a dispute over the identity of an online entrant, entry will be deemed submitted by the “Authorized Account Holder” of the e-mail address or social media account submitted at time of entry. Authorized Account Holder means the natural person who is assigned to an e-mail address or social media account by an Internet access provider, online service provider, or other organization that is responsible for assigning e-mail addresses or social accounts for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address or account handle. Entry materials/data that have been tampered with or altered, or mass entries or entries generated by a script, macro or use of automated devices are void.

The Administrator is not responsible for: (i) lost, late, misdirected, damaged, illegible or incomplete entries; or (ii) error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operations or transmission, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to or alterations of entry materials, or for technical, network, telephone equipment, electronic, computer, hardware or software malfunctions of any kind, or inaccurate transmission of or failure to receive entry information by Administrator on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any web site or any combination thereof; or (iii) any injury or damage to entrant’s or any other person’s computer related to or resulting from participating in the Contest. By participating in the Contest, you (i) agree to be bound by these Official Rules, including all eligibility requirements, and (ii) agree to be bound by the decisions of Administrator and the independent judging organization, which are final and binding in all matters relating to the Contest. Failure to comply with these Official Rules may result in disqualification from the Contest. Administrator reserves the right to permanently disqualify from any contest it administrates any person it believes has intentionally violated these Official Rules and cancel the Contest if it becomes technically corrupted (including if a computer virus, bot or system malfunction inalterably impairs its ability to conduct the Contest), and to select winner from among all eligible entries received prior to withdrawal.

Legal Warning: ANY ATTEMPT BY AN individual, whether or not an ENTRANT, TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE, destroy, tamper or vandalize this WEB SITE OR interfere with the OPERATION OF THE CONTEST, IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS and ADMINISTRATOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES and diligently pursue all remedies against ANY SUCH individual TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

Participating entrants agree to these Official Rules and the decisions of the Administrator, Sponsor, and release, defend and hold harmless the Administrator and its affiliated companies, and all other businesses involved in this Contest, as well as the employees, officers, directors and agents of each, from all claims and liability relating to their participation, acceptance and use or misuse of prize. Winner assumes all liability for any injury or damage caused or claimed to be caused, by participation in this Contest or use or redemption of prize. Administrator and Sponsor are not responsible for any typographical or other error in the printing of the offer, administration of the Contest or in the announcement of the prize.

Winner acknowledges the Administrator and all other businesses concerned with this Contest and their agents do not make, nor are in any manner responsible for any warranty, representations, expressed or implied, in fact or in law, relative the quality, conditions, fitness or merchantability of any aspect of prize.

Confidentiality

The personal information collected from each entrant in the course of the Contest will be used by Plant Based Recipes: Easy Oil Free Vegan Recipes for the purposes of administration of the Contest and as otherwise permitted in accordance with Plant Based Recipes: Easy Oil Free Vegan Recipes’s Privacy Policy. By participating, entrants agree that any and all disputes arising out of or relating in any way to this Contest shall be litigated only in courts sitting in or near Errington, B.C., Canada.
