This is my favorite vegan ranch dressing. I adore ranch dressing, but obviously had to switch to vegan as soon as I ditched dairy a couple years ago. Luckily vegan ranch is simple to make, and tastes so much like the original that you will barely notice the difference. It's also a lot cheaper than what you can find in the supermarket, and takes seconds to make (ok, after you get the ingredients out I suppose!)
I use this ranch to dip vegetables, spread on potatoes, and even dip my favorite vegan pizzas. If you go vegan-cheese-free on pizza, dipping it in a bit of hot sauce and this dressing means you won't even notice a lack of cheese. This dressing even works well on sandwiches! I often mix a bit of hot sauce or sriracha directly into the ranch for some punch.

Note: This recipe was created before we went low fat/no oil whole food plant based. Vegan mayo generally has some oil in it. Please read the labels carefully, and make your own mayo if needed to follow your own diet plan.
Variations on this ranch dressing
I also sometimes add 1/2 tsp of a herb mix that I enjoy. It is a general mix of garden herbs - think "Mrs. Dash" style but without salt. Totally optional, but if you have a nice general spice you enjoy that matches well, I recommend it! Mine has garlic, parsley, oregano, etc. and matches a ranch dressing well.
As mentioned above, combining with hot sauce makes a fantastic spicy ranch dressing. Or you can add BBQ sauce for a southern version.
