whole stevia leaves used to sweeten tea in cup

Naturally sweeten your tea or coffee using whole dried stevia leaves

It's a goal for many of us to reduce or stop using sugar in our beverages and food, processed or not. Sweetening our foods with natural alternatives, like dates and unprocessed stevia, is inexpensive and much healthier. Learn about this alternative for your hot beverages!

Leading a healthy plant-based life means alternatives to sugary and chemical laden beverages. That means a lot more water, and (for me), tea.

But if you are used to sweetened teas or coffee, a safe sugar-free alternative usually means stevia. However, many stevia products are highly processed and may not be the healthiest option.

Recently I found whole, dried organic stevia leaves on Amazon. They are so easy to use to sweeten your beverages: simply drop 2-3 leaves in your cup and you’re done. This lets you use a plant-based whole food alternative to processed sweeteners. Score!

You can either remove the leaves after a few minutes using a strainer, or leave them in your cup – I find they usually stick to the side or the teabag and don’t get in the way. This works just as well for your coffee, iced tea, and many other kinds of beverages.

Enjoy!
